LOT launches stopover Warsaw program

Passengers flying through Warsaw en route to final destinations around the world now have the opportunity to turn a regular layover into a true travel experience. Poland’s national carrier, LOT Polish Airlines, has introduced the innovative LOT Stopover Warsaw program, designed for travelers who want to enrich their time in Poland with an authentic taste of the capital city and its surrounding regions. Flexibility is key – travelers can choose a stopover in Warsaw lasting from 1 to 8 days, without any additional cost on their airfare.

LOT Stopover is more than a logistical add-on – it’s a thoughtfully curated travel experience created in collaboration with local partners, tourism institutions, and cultural attractions. The program offers sightseeing in Warsaw and the chance to explore other parts of Poland thanks to discounted domestic flights and special deals at restaurants, museums, shops, as well as cultural and entertainment venues. Notable partners include Designer Outlet Warsaw, offering exclusive discounts for program participants; Elektrownia Powiśle, which blends modern shopping and gastronomy in an industrial setting; and a selection of museums, parks, and culinary spots providing special offers and perks.

Travelers can activate the LOT Stopover option when purchasing a round-trip international flight, with the system automatically offering the possibility of a multi-day stop in Warsaw. The platform is designed so that it doesn’t affect the ticket price, and all discounts and additional services are accessible via the booking confirmation. Passenger experiences show that Warsaw is well-connected by rail and public transport, offering a rich daily itinerary even for those with a short layover. Its infrastructure, range of activities, and access to local culture make Poland’s capital an ideal place for a brief getaway during long-haul travel.

The LOT Stopover Warsaw program is primarily aimed at international travelers transiting through Warsaw on their way to third destinations, offering them a chance to add a new dimension to their journey. Instead of spending time between flights in transit, passengers are invited to discover a city full of rich history, modern energy, and European hospitality. At a time when the experiential side of travel is more valued than ever, LOT’s initiative positions Warsaw as more than just an airport – as an unexpected destination in its own right.
